Resolved Question: Best part of Antelope Valley, California to live in?

All the cities I've read about {Mojave, Bakersfield, Palmdale, Lancaster, etc.) in the Antelope Valley area have horrible things said about them. I don't expect any of these cities to be absolutely free of crime, but are there any towns in the area that are relatively clean and quiet? Or at least parts of the larger cities that are?
